RsyncOSX stores its configurations, schedules and log records either as property list files or JSON files. Default format is property list files, the user can change the format to JSON.

The storage of config files is default in $HOME/.rsyncosx/macserialnumber. Existing users of previous versions of RsyncOSX can move configfiles from old localization (Documents/Rsync/macserialnumber) to new by selecting Move from the File menu of RsyncOSX.

Version 6.4.7 and future releases

From version 6.4.5 RsyncOSX all configuration files are store in $HOME/.rsyncosx/macserialnumber. RsyncOSX evaluates the computer mac serial number at startup.
