Tickmark

Privacy

Privacy, in plain words

Short version: your stuff stays on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Tickmark has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no analytics or advertising scripts, and no database. The site is a set of static files. Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard short-lived access logs (IP address, page requested, time) to keep the service running; the test content in a share link is after the # and is not sent to the server.

Sharing is up to you

Anyone with a test link can open the test. Anyone with a result file can read it. Send them only to people you trust, and add a password to tests that need it.

Images from the web

If you add a question image by URL, the taker’s browser loads it from that website, which may see their IP address. Uploaded images are embedded in the test instead.

Proctoring

If a test turns on proctoring, the player records events like leaving full screen or switching tabs, with times. These are stored only in the result. Tickmark never uses a camera or microphone.

Deleting everything

Delete tests and results from the tools, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Because we hold no copies, that removes them completely.
